1940's Peach Celanese Full Slip withEmbroidery
This is such a stunning little slip!
In a warm peach colour and with pretty embroidery on the cups and on the hem, this is a great example of the Celanese slips from the 1940's when the fabric was cheaper to use than silk or satin, yet easy to wear. "Celanese" is a combination of "cellulose acetate" and the phrase "ease of care," referring to the easy wear of acetate fabric" (according to Celanese.com!).
The label reads "Rational - made from 'Celanese' - Wash as silk - Acetate fabric". Also labelled "BS 34".
Condition: Good, only a small repair to the straps.
